My name is Valerie Jennings.
I'm passionate about helping people discover what it means to live a good life.
About me: I’ve been practicing meditation and yoga most of my adult life, and I’m trained as a mindfulness teacher and mental health coach. Alongside mindfulness, I’m interested in positive psychology, the formation of healthy habits and beliefs and the elements of subjective wellbeing. In short, I’m interested in exploring, for myself and with others, how we can cultivate skills and attitudes to enjoy a more satisfying life experience.
I believe that having a regular mindfulness practice, even in small doses, can have a profound impact on your quality of life. You might think of it as a form of mental hygiene - something that we do to take care of our minds and ensure their optimal functioning, similar to the way we take care of our bodies by exercising, eating vegetables and brushing our teeth.
