Foundations of Mindfulness Course
Thursdays 19:00-21:15 CET
3 October - 21 November 2024 (8 sessions)
Location: Emagine Center (Paardenmarkt 65, Antwerp)
Price: 225 EUR
Would you like to discover how to cultivate more joy and less suffering in your life? Are you looking to improve the quality of your life experience? Have you heard about the benefits of mindfulness and are curious to explore them first-hand? Start here.
During this eight-week course, we will explore the foundations of mindfulness through meditation and yoga practices, contemplative exercises and group discussions. This is an experiential curriculum designed to increase psychological flexibility and resilience; you can expect thoughtful interaction rather than a lecture and PowerPoint slides.
This course is based on the curriculum of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in the 1970’s. A secular, evidence-based program, MBSR is among the most-researched and widely-taught mindfulness programs in the world.
