Slow is a sacred speed
Published 8 June 2025

Have you ever watched a flower bloom? I mean really watched it - day by day, hour by hour, noticing how the petals slowly unfurl without rush or apology?

There’s a kind of wisdom in that gentle unfolding.

In a world that celebrates fast results, quick fixes, and overnight success, it can feel counterintuitive to let things take the time they need. But life - real, meaningful, nourishing life - rarely works on demand.

Sometimes the most caring thing we can do for ourselves is to soften our grip on the timeline.

Maybe you're waiting for clarity around a big decision, or hoping for your body to heal, or wondering when the fog of uncertainty will lift. These in-between spaces are hard. They ask us to keep showing up without guarantees. To trust the process, even when we can’t see the outcome.

But here’s the beautiful truth: things are shifting, even when we can’t feel them move. Roots grow in silence. Seeds sprout underground before they ever meet the light.

So today, I’m practicing letting things be incomplete for a little while. I’m giving myself room to exhale. And I invite you to do the same.

You don’t have to fix or figure it all out today. You’re allowed to be in progress. You’re allowed to rest, to pause, to stretch out the time it takes to become.

Some things bloom best when we give them space. 🌱

Best,
Valerie
